Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results; our servers do not keep a copy of those searches. If you send us a message, we use the contents of that message to respond and do not need more information than it contains.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting may record ordinary server-log details such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review those details in aggregate to maintain the site and understand page use. Cookies or similar tools may also support basic analytics or, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use It
We use this limited information to operate the site, address faults, measure traffic, and improve pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create profiles of individual readers.
External Records and Search Sites
Antioch Residents Directory links to Contra Costa County and California records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Each outside service has its own privacy policy, which governs information submitted there. This is especially important for sponsored results supplied by another company.
Who May Receive Information
Hosting and support providers may process server logs while operating the site. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise do not disclose it for a separate purpose.
Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above require. Because there are no accounts here, this site does not hold a password or user profile that could be exposed.
People Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor sent information to us, contact us so we can remove it.
Your California Privacy Choices
The California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by CPRA, Civil Code §1798.100 et seq., gives consumers of covered businesses rights to know, delete, correct, limit the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information, and opt out of sale or sharing. Because this site keeps very little, a request about our own logs or messages is usually narrow; use the Contact page to ask. The California Public Records Act, Government Code §7920.000 et seq., applies to covered state and local executive-agency records, but official records held by Antioch, Contra Costa County, or California custodians are controlled by those offices, not by this site. A request to correct or remove an official record must go to its custodian and remains subject to the applicable access, confidentiality, and retention rules.
Policy Changes
We will post revisions to this page. Continuing to use the site after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
